Patient İsmail Gevher, who developed a fracture in his spinal bones in his neck after the accident, was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance. Following the examinations, neck traction was applied to the spinal cord for three days and respiratory monitoring was performed. The patient, whose condition was stable, was then taken into surgery. During the surgery, an intervention was made from the front of the neck. The fracture and dislocation area was fixed with screws and implants. The pressure on the nerve was removed. Edema occurred in the spinal nerve due to the pressure that occurred during the accident. Postoperative treatment was continued. After the surgery, the patient’s partial loss of strength on the left side was completely resolved, and although the partial loss of strength on the right side continues, he can move his hand and arm and eat on his own. “The next process will be physical therapy,” he said.
